Sleepers are manufactured from recycled plastic and composite material. The material composition produces a dimensionally stable product without the need for chemical impregnation.
Composite is unaffected by moisture, decay or insect damage. The product retains its properties throughout its life cycle, without performance degradation or material maintenance.
At end of life, the sleeper is recycled and re-enters production of new units. Operations are conducted without sending material to landfill.
The premium range complies with the European standard ISO 12856 for polymer composite sleepers. Test reports and documentation are provided on delivery.
EGI offers two clearly distinguished product classes — Essential for secondary traffic and industrial sidings, and Certified for mainline use and installations with higher demands.
